Sydney metro train line under harbour expected to open in August as trial services begin

If all trial operations run without a hitch the Chatswood to Sydenham section of the metro line will open in August

The central section of Sydney’s new metro rail line has begun testing a full service timetable before an expected public opening in August.

The trial will run services from Chatswood through the central business district and into Sydenham, covering nine stations of the planned 19-station City and Southwest line.
